Description of MS M.905 I, fol. 186r

Christ: Ascension -- Virgin Mary and Evangelist John, both nimbed, kneeling with joined hands raised, and Apostles, nimbed, kneeling, surround mount upon which are two footprints. Above, feet of Christ, showing wounds, beneath robe, disappear into clouds. Scene within decorated intial U.
In lower margin, wolf, wearing hat and scarf, holding rod in right paw, stands on hind legs beside lectern, on which is open book with pseudo-inscription, instructing seven geese, beside fox, seated with foreleg resting on back of one goose (Scene, Burlesque: Instruction). Scene amid foliate ornament.
