Description of MS M.86 fol. 1r

Two angels support crowned roundel within foliate border framing text. Within roundel are initials IHS and crowned monogram designating convent of Sta. Maria la Real.
In left border are three roundels containing the following figures:
1) Dominic of Bologna, nimbed, tonsured, wearing habit, holding book in right hand and banner in left hand.
2) Joseph the Carpenter, nimbed, holding Christ Child, nimbed, nude, in both hands.
3) Vincent Ferrer, nimbed, tonsured, wearing habit, holding crucifix in left hand.
In right border are three roundels containing the following figures:
1) Francis of Assisi, nimbed, tonsured, wearing habit, holding crucifix in both hands.
2) Archangel Michael, nimbed, tonsured, wearing armor, holding shield in left hand.
1) Anthony of Padua, nimbed, tonsured, wearing habit, holding Christ Child, nude, in both hands.
