Description of MS M.791 fol. 66r

1) Samson: Annunciation of Birth -- Angel, with pearled nimbus, raising right hand, stands opposite wife of Manoah, veiled, raising right hand and extending left hand.
2) Samson: Manoah offering Sacrifice -- Flanking altar are angel, with pearled nimbus, raising right hand and holding roll in left, and Manoah, right hand raised, left hand indicating kid on altar. Above altar, angel, with pearled nimbus, represented again, ascends in flames.
3) Samson: slaying Lion -- Below, wife of Manoah, veiled, and Manoah, wearing hat, both gesturing stand beside Samson rending jaws of lion.
4) Samson: Honey in Lion -- Wife of Manoah, veiled, behind Manoah, wearing hat, holding with right hand, honeycomb to mouth stands beside Samson, holding honeycomb in left hand, and with right indicates lion holding honeycomb in mouth. Lion is to right of initial.
Scenes against background of gold within initial P, decorated with interlace and foliate ornament inhabited by fantastic animals.
