Description of MS M.677 fol. 32v
Evangelist Matthew, nimbed, seated in elaborately carved chair, writes on scroll, draped over lapdesk. Before him, angel holds up open, inscribed book, from which Matthew copies. Scene occurs within room, one side of which consists of balustrade, decorated with roundels decorated with figural relief, surmounted by columns of polished stone.
