Description of MS M.524 fol. 6r

1) Apocalypse: Trumpet VI, Horsemen -- Five horsemen, wearing mail and helmets, armed with two lances with decorated banners and shield, are mounted on lion-headed horses with serpent tails, issuing fire from mouths. They trample group of men, one wearing hood, one wearing hat, and four wearing caps, all on ground. One of three background inscriptions based on Revelation 9:17-18, CAPTIA EQUORUM ERANT TANQUAM CAPITA LEONUM ET DE ORE EORUM PROCEDEBAT IGNIS ET FUMUS ET SULFUR ET DE IPSO FUMO IGNE ET SULFURE OCCISA EST TERCIA PARS HOMINUM.

2) Apocalypse: Mighty Angel -- Angel, pearled nimbus, stands and whispers to ear of Evangelist John, name inscribed SCS IOH(ANNE)S, pearled nimbus, seated on cushioned bench, with knife and pen on open ruled book on foliate lectern. In clouds, seven winged heads of Personifications of Thunder, inscribed SEPTE(M) TONIT(RU)A, emit rays from mouths. One of three labelled inscriptions from Revelation 10:4, SIGNA QUE LOCUTA SUNT SEPTEM TONITRUA NOLI EA SCRIBERE.
