Description of MS M.52 fol. 284v

David: cursed by Shimei -- Before three soldiers, wearing armor, two with swords, Shimei raises stone, held in left hand, and club, held in right hand against David, crowned, sword at waist, hands crossed at breast.
Scene occurs outside city gates within landscape.
Miniature and text framed by border decorated foliate ornament and budding and full flowers, including pink, daisy, and rose. In lower border, woman, partially nude, with two nude infants, sits sideways on lion.
Decorated initial D begins Psalm 39 (Vulg., 38).
