Description of MS M.360.10

Zone 1:
1) Christ: Casting of Lots for Garments -- Two soldiers sitting on ground throw three dice over decorated red robes. Behind them stands group of soldiers, in helmets, one holding knife in raised right hand.
Scene caption, inscribed QUOMODO PONEBANT SORTEM SUPER UESTIMENTA.
2) Christ: Bewailing -- Dead body of Christ, bleeding from wounds in side, arms, and feet, as well as legs, arms, and torso, is supported by Virgin Mary, veiled, and Evangelist John, both nimbed, seated on ground, flanking two Holy Women, nimbed, veiled. Behind them stand holy woman, nimbed, veiled, arms raised in grief, Joseph of Arimathea, and Nicodemus, both wearing hats. Behind them stand cross and ladder.
Scene caption, inscribed QUOMODO DEPOSITUS EST DE CRUCE.
Zone 2:
3) Joseph of Arimathea: preparing Christ's Body for Burial -- Body of Christ, bleeding from wounds in side and feet, is placed on shroud on which sits ointment jar. Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, supports Christ's head. Two male figures, nimbed, hold arms and feet. Joseph of Arimathea, nimbed, sits behind them with two holy women, nimbed, veiled, and Nicodemus.
Scene caption, inscribed QUOMODO IUNXERUNT CHRISTUM JESUM.
4) Christ: Entombment -- Body of Christ, crossed nimbus, wrapped in shroud is lowered into sarcophagus with carved cross by Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, supporting head, Evangelist John, nimbed, supporting feet, and male figure. Behind sarcophagus, woman, veiled, looks at holy woman, nimbed, veiled, arms raised in grief.
Scene caption, inscribed QUOMODO SEPULTUS EST DOMINUS NOSTER.
