Saint, possibly evangelist John, nimbed, holding book with right hand, raising left hand, standing before wall, with buildings and hills in background, within within initial D decorated with floreate ornament.
Margins decorated with blocks of floreate ornament on gold ground, inhabited by stork or heron in lower margin.
