Description of MS M.198 fol. 104r

Stephen Protomartyr: Stoning -- Stephen, nimbed, tonsured, bleeding from wounds in his head, kneels on ground with hands raised. Around him are three men, including one wearing ermine-trimmed hat-like crown (?), holding rod in right hand, and two tormentors, one wearing hat, one with stones gathered in his garment, both raising stones in their hands. Scene in landscape with distant trees.
Margins with floreate and vinescroll ornament, with curvilinear patterns, inhabited by hybrid man wearing hood (?).
