Description of MS M.126 fol. 88r

Confessio Amantis: Scene, Iphis hanged and Scene, Anaxarete turning into Stone -- At right, before castle door, Iphis hangs by rope from tree. At left, inside castle, Anaxarete, possibly statue, wearing turban type of headdress, stands looking toward stone (?). In background is statue on pedestal, holding spear and shield.
