Description of MS M.1042 fol. 8r
Psalm 001 (Vulg., 001).
Virgin Mary and Christ Child -- Nimbed angel, emerging from cloud, places crown on Virgin Mary, nimbed, seated on bench, holding Christ Child, cross-nimbed, holding open book, seated on her lap. Crowned queen, possibly Marie of Brabant, wearing wimpled veil and vair-lined mantle, kneels, holding open book, facing them.
Figures, against gold background, within initial B decorated with foliage. Marginal extensions of foliage.
