MS M.854 fol. 6v Book of hours (Hours of Infante Don Alfonso of Castile). Spain, perhaps Burgos or Segovia, 1465-1480.

In left panel of vignette in lower margin are two nude figures embracing (Gemini). In background is castle. In right panel of vignette in lower margin is falconer, wearing hat, holding reins in right hand and with hawk on left hand, seated astride horse (Month, Occupation: May). Beside horse runs dog. Scene in landscape with stream, trees, and rocks (?). Left margin decorated with foliate ornament. Miniature and ornament executed in grisaille and gold tones with color accents.
