Confessio Amantis: Scene, Vulcan capturing Mars and Venus -- Vulcan, wearing tall brimless hat and tunic, holding chain with both hands, stands next to draped canopy bed on platform in which Mars, wearing tall brimless hat, and Venus, wearing headdress, both nude, recline with heads on cushion, confined by chain attached to platform on side opposite Vulcan. Scene in room with decorated walls and ceiling, and tile floor; statue on pedestal holding spear and shield, landscape with tree and city in distance visible through window. Champie initial O with spray-work.
