Christ: Harrowing of Hell -- Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing mantle and showing wounds in His hands and feet, steps on one of two gates of Hell and holds cross-staff with cross-inscribed banner in His right hand. With His left hand, He grasps right hand of Adam, followed by Eve, both with their left hands raised. The couple is accompanied by fourteen men and women. All are nude, in Hell Mouth, within city gate manned by three bestial devils armed with halberds and pitchfork, including one blowing horn.

Christ: Harrowing of Hell -- The foremost of group of souls of men and women, man extends right hand to right hand of Christ, rays as nimbus, wearing short loincloth and cloak, holding cross staff in left hand. He is stepping out of mandorla onto head of devil. In background devil stands behinds rocks; smoke emerges from holes in earth.
Margins decorated with floreate ornament. In lower margin, monogram of initials A and P linked by love knot. Text, Hours of the Virgin.

With right hand, He grasps left hand of Adam beside Eve, both nude, stepping from flaming Hell Mouth in which are five nude Damned, including mitered bishop and crowned king. Bestial devil behind the Hell Mouth.
2) Christ: noli me tangere -- Beside tree, Mary Magdalen, nimbed, veiled, wearing vair-lined mantle, partly kneels, holds ointment jar in draped left hand, and extends right hand toward standing cross-nimbed Christ. He inclines His head toward her, and holds scroll inscribed NOLI ME TANGERE from John 20:17, in His right hand and book in His draped left hand.

Christ: Harrowing of Hell -- Christ, cross-nimbed, crowned, tramples on recumbent horned devil (Satan) and with His right hand thrusts cross-staff into his jaws. With His left hand, He grasps Adam, nude, beside nude tonsured cleric, both before Hell Mouth in which are five figures, accompanied by devil at top.
Above, angel, swinging censer, descends from clouds. In foreground are three figures of Damned, two nude, one seated, and the third prostrate, with extended hands, amid flames.
Scene against gold background, within frame decorated with foliate ornament and four human heads in corner squares.

1) Christ: Deposition -- In top right corner of border, Nicodemus, on ladder, grasping right arm of Christ, rays as nimbus, wearing short loin cloth, removes nail with pincers. Joseph of Arimathea, on ladder against left arm of cross, grasps His shoulders and lowers Him into arms of Evangelist John, nimbed, standing below. Mary Magdalen, nimbed, standing, and Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, seated on ground, look on.
2) Holy Women: watching Sepulcher -- In middle of right border, Mary Magdalen, nimbed, and two holy women advance toward sepulcher below.
3) Christ: Entombment -- Below, within sepulcher carved into side of rocky outcropping, holy woman, nimbed, Virgin Mary, rays as nimbus, veiled, look on as Nicomedus, Evangelist John, nimbed, and Joseph of Arimathea carry body of Christ, rays as nimbus, on linen toward sarcophagus.
4) Christ: Harrowing of Hell -- In lower left corner of border, Christ, rays as nimbus, wounds visible, partially draped, holding cross-staff, tramples door of hell, under which are two demons. He grasps hands of Adam, stepping over door, followed by Eve and several figures issuing from within burning building.

With His right hand, He pulls left arm of Adam, followed by Eve, both nude, and figure, all emerging from flaming Hell Mouth at portal of city gate of Hell.

Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, nimbed, with crown of thorns, head inclined, wearing short loincloth, is affixed with three nails to cross with titulus INRI. At left, Evangelist John, looks up at Him; Virgin Mary, veiled, arms crossed on breast, looks downward. At right are man, hooded, raising right hand standing next to, and looking at, soldier holding shield.
In background, landscape with city below dark sky. At lower edge of miniature, plaque inscribed DOMINE LABIA MEA APERIES.
Upper margin:
Square cameo with two kneeling figures in frame flanked by two winged, armless women, and by two panels in which are putti, two grasping drapery entwined in spiral at each side.

Christ is flanked by figures, with joined hands, kneeling. Panel is flanked by putti, two astride hybrid horse with serpent-like hindquarters, two putti wrestling (?), two embracing (?).

1) Christ: Resurrection -- Within upper bow of initial B, Christ, decorated crossed nimbus, wearing mantle, steps from sarcophagus. He raises His right hand in blessing and holds left hand up, showing wounds. He is flanked by three sleeping soldiers. One soldier rests against sarcophagus.
2) Christ: Harrowing of Hell -- Within lower bow of Initial B, Christ, decorated crossed nimbus, holds cross-staff in right hand and treads on horned devil. He grasps arm of Adam, nude, stepping from Hell Mouth, before gates of Hell. Behind Adam emerges Eve, nude, hands clasped. Bishop, wearing miter, and fourth figure stand behind Eve (only heads visible).
Border and Margins:
Scenes enclosed within Initial B decorated with foliate ornament and framed by borders decorated with heraldic motifs, fleur-de-lis and eagles, in medallions and lozenges.
EATUSVIR is writtin in decorated medallions in lower border of decorated frame.
Rabbit, centaur, hawk, dragon, squirrel and crane appear on border decoration in margins.

2) Christ: Harrowing of Hell -- Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing mantle, holding cross-staff in left hand, grasps with right hand both hands of Adam, nude, accompanied by nude figures, including Eve, in Hell Mouth. Proscenium arch below.
3) Christ: Supper at Emmaus -- Christ, cross-nimbed, with right hand raised in blessing, is flanked by two disciples gesturing toward Him. All sit behind draped table laden with loaf, fish in bowl, knife, vessel, and food.
Proscenium arch below and arches above.
4) Christ: noli me tangere -- Mary Magdalen, nimbed, veiled, kneels with joined hands raised toward Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing mantle, with right hand lowered and cross-staff (?) in left hand; tree in center.

Four figures of prophets, evangelists, or apostles, all holding scrolls, gesturing, and seated on benches, beneath trefoil arches. Diapered backgrounds.
